Birthday

Hello everyone, it’s my birthday tomorrow: I’m turning 29.

Many people in Taiwan advise against travelling or doing anything during the ninth year of every decade (19, 29, 39) etc. Fortunately, however, on the Chinese counting system, I am actually 30, and therefore I’ve already passed the dangerous “nine” year.
